Troop 80 Gardens at Watchung Reservation |
A grass roots movement to help local food pantries
A group of energetic Troop 80 scouts worked a hard eight hours providing service to the Union County Master Gardener's at their Demonstration Garden in Watchung Reservation. Scouts moved compost, in the rain Saturday, for the vegetable beds in the Sharing Garden. The Sharing Garden provides free produce to food pantries throughout Union County. Service hours are needed for scouts as they work their way through the Boy Scout program toward the rank of Eagle Scout.
Troop 80 is celebrating their 80th year of service to the Cranford community. This calendar year Troop 80 has graduated 5 young men to the rank of Eagle Scout.
